It's not me but the girl I am talking to. Stephen Fry went to Prison for fraud and theft. Leslie Grantham British Actor went to prison for murder. He was married until 2 years ago, but his divorce was unconnected to the crime. I think she would be ok to date! The way you asked the question I thought it was going to be armed robbery or something.
No I would not end a relationship because I found out my partner was in possession of some class C drugs almost a decade ago. A misdemeanor wouldn't bother me. Although it's odd that a 1st offender went to jail on such a charge so I would want to know more. In this specific case I would need to know a lot more because I am very anti-drug. If the person still smoked, I'd leave. If the person did other drugs in the past I would need a ton more info. The info you found merits further discussion.
Being a criminal has never stopped a man from being successful with women.
Welcome to Reddit,
Also, personal insight as to what was going on, and personal accountability. Some are worse or more troublesome than others. For example, I could forgive a "charge" of threat toward a female, because that could be a vindictive woman telling lies, or a big misunderstanding that quickly spiraled downward.

But if there is more than one charge from more than one woman, thus showing a pattern of behavior, even if the charges did not turn into convictions OR if just one charge but I see aggressive behavior early-on, then that is a deal breaker. Dui isn't a big deal to me.
Would you date someone with a criminal record?
I once dated a girl who admitted to me she was declared legally insane. I should have run away then.
How about a 24 year old guy who got arrested for selling packaged beef door to door without a license. No he's just a loser. Mooches off of everyone, never went to college or did anything with himself. I wouldn't write somebody off on criminal record alone, unless they were violent crimes or crimes that strongly offended my morals. It would depend on when the crime took place, nature of the crime, and if the criminal activity is still continuing - and probably on other things I can't think of.
Would you ever date someone with a criminal record?
Would you date a man with a criminal history? : AskWomen
Not like the small stuff i. I'm talking about crimes like felonious assault and armed robbery etc. I wouldn't date someone with a serious crimial history at all but How do you handle having dates right before Valentine's Day? When should someone give up on chasing you?

Based on personal experience from people around me, I do believe that people can change to an extent, but VERY few actually do. Still wondering why I play this game. Originally Posted by Durandro. You can get arrested for anything these days.

The level of corruption in the UK Police Force is so much that I actually consider them more dangerous then most criminals. So my answer is: Depends, if its something lite like weed sure. If its something like meth hell no. Even killing someone can be forgiven if it was for self-defense and not intentional; in my eyes, that would fall into the "accidents" category.

But stuff like breaking into a house to call for help in distress or stealing food for hunger are entirely different things of course. Last edited by mmocf7adaa4; at I have a criminal record from when I was Does that make me a bad person?
Nope, it makes me a stupid kid who pushed the law too far and lost. I don't judge people on their past mistakes and I would be happy to date someone who has a criminal record for anything including murder, as long as they have learned from that mistake. As long as it wasn't a violent or really heinous crime, I probably wouldn't even bat an eyelash. Originally Posted by Snowraven. Originally Posted by Ziddy. Last edited by v2prwsmb45yhuq3wj23vpjk; at
