It Must Be Love. Daisy's Back in Town. Her next book is about a serial killer who kills people she met online so Lucy is doing the same, minus the murders. She is just doing her job. Quinn 'hardluvnman' is also doing his , dating women who are the most likely suspects in the serial killer case. Someone has already killed three men and Quinn's job is to find the killer.
He didn't expect to be this attracted to one of the suspects though. Neither did Lucy expect to Lucy Rothschild, mystery writer, is doing a research on online dating. Neither did Lucy expect to be attracted to her latest test subject. What kind of relationship based on lies could the two have anyway? It takes a while for Quinn to be a hundred percent certain Lucy is not the killer. Not that it made any difference to him the way he gets crazy around her.

This book is an entertaining story, but neither of the characters is anything special. They are sort of judgemental towards the people who use online dating sites. They both believe something is wrong with the other one. Their lust at first sight was a bit over the top, but it didn't distract from the story much. And there is that TSTL moment near the end. Each book in this series features one of them. The way this one ends regarding one of Lucy's friends is pretty weird.

Dec 22, Quirky Omega rated it really liked it Shelves: After a very long time, a male lead forced me to sympathise with him. Poor guy was simply trying to do his job. Really a comically sad set of events. I liked the breezy writing. I also adored how the characters were fleshed out. On the plus side, Lucy's female I'm thinking that maybe Sex, Lies, and Online Dating should receive even less than 3 stars, but after reading two previous Gibson books that I absolutely adored they were my first of hers and total hits: On the plus side, Lucy's female-writing posse who are all heroines of their own book - stories TBR was interesting and provided several funny and lighthearted moments - especially Maddie, she was a riot and I'm looking forward to reading her book! Also, she writes in some good red herrings. But still, it makes the love story and how it plays out completely implausible for me.
Ummm, so that's fine, but let's be upfront here: First of all, she doesn't even know the guy - he's still pretending to be a widower plumber and is lying to her practically nonstop - and second of all He thinks she's a serial killer for god's sakes - it's not like they've had any great philosophical or even just everyday serious discussions, he's just trying to get her to sleep with him so she'll try to kill him.

Call it lust, but don't call it love, because that just doesn't ring true. Mar 01, Shxrxn rated it really liked it. For the rest of my life. I like being with you. I like you a lot. I like having you around. You burst into my life like sunshine and made me see how lonely I was.
Dec 03, Amafle rated it really liked it. Mar 20, Ali rated it it was ok Shelves: This was good up until the secret came out about him being a cop. He was the one that lied to her for so long and took it to far. Then he said he only did it for his job as in he didn't care about her at all. And what does she do? Falls at his feet the moment he does something remotely nice. Is all the heroines of this author this weak? Not even 15 minutes in and I'm hearing awkward pauses and a forced cadence to Kathleen Early's audiobook phrasing. This is going to have to be one for print if indeed I do end up picking it up again.
I think this is a case of personal preference and not voice talent or casting - but it's decidedly not for me. I liked this cute read few sizzle parts and the author didn't give it away who done it too soon I'll keep up with this series. Nov 10, Jenn Scranton rated it it was amazing. Sex, Lies, and Online Dating definitely put a smile on my face this Saturday! Just goes to show that honesty is the best policy! Lucy is a murder mystery writer and she uses online dating programs to go on "dates" to do research for her books.
Basically, she takes down mental notes on the people and then she "kills them off" In her book of course! But she doesn't realize that some crazy woman is using her books as an instruction manual and committing real crimes! Now Quinn is a cop who went undercover trying to catch "Breathless" as our murderer became known.
He also used online dating to catch this killer and would go on "dates" to try to rule out suspects Do you see where I am going with this? Lucy and Quinn meet on a "date", not telling the other that they are using each other for ulterior motives. But what is something else unexpected happens? Rachel Gibson is a goddess for fun flirty reading with an edge of suspense in the mix. Not to mention she has great taste in man description. However, Rachel, what is the deal with the crappy names of our hunks?!?! Loved the description for Mr.
The whole time I was conjuring up an image, I couldn't help but think of Dr. Quinn every time I read his name. Jul 17, ElaineY rated it liked it Shelves: Six years after I first read this, my star rating is still a 3-star meh. In fact, I couldn't even be bothered to get halfway because this time round, it did sound like chick lit.
This time I couldn't find anything to enjoy because there was nothing to attract me to either MC - the heroine was bland and so was the hero and six years after the book was released, the online dating plot device is so old that the only thing that could have saved the story was if the MCs were interesting.
