Definitely not my favorite Christina Lauren. I actually really liked both characters, and I actually laughed out loud at a few of the antics, but it seemed like the authors had to fill the book with way too much detail about the hollywood industry to fill up the book.

There was no real personal growth on the character's part, and I found myself pushing to get through the book. I loved loved loved the Beautiful and Wild series. This book just isn't at the same level. It was a 'very nice' romance but I wished for more zing between them. If this were a movie in the theatres I would say wait until it releases on DVD. When Carter and Evie meet at a Halloween party, they have the kind of chemistry that makes you move mountains to be with each other.

Unfortunately for these two, fate steps in and throws a wrench in their plans. Finding out they are basically competing for the job they love, this turns them from a possibility into enemies before they know what hits them. Christina Lauren's writing is on point, the story flows, the characters come alive, and you can cut the tension with a knife. Enemies-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes, and these writers do it amazing justice. Don't let that deter you though, there is still plenty of steam, it's just more a slow-burn in my eyes. Absolutely loved Carter and Evie's story, I hope we get to see them again sometime!

Definitely not my favorite Christina Lauren book. I was disappointed in the last Beautiful book and felt the same with this one. It just fell flat for some reason. Doesn't mean I won't continue to support the authors and read every book they release! The sexual sparks between them, the work tension which threatens any thought of a relationship, lead them both to hijinks and pranks that can as easily bring them together as it could tear them apart.

The dialogue is so fun and witty, the characters in this book are quirky and endearing. Set in Hollywood, the behind the scenes look in to the lives of two high-powered agents and their demanding clients adds another layer of interest to this already great story. One person found this helpful. I guess, based on the blurb, I expected this book to be funnier. The romance was okay if a bit eh and the main characters were pretty good as well.

So what made this book earn four stars? The absolute truth it portrayed.

That you get called nicknames like sport, kiddo, hun, and anything else that is both astonishingly condescending and infantile. That you can work harder, longer, and be better at than your colleagues and still not be given the same respect you should get. That any mistake, emotion, or even remotely less than perfect work is somehow that much worse than your male counterparts.
