Yup, I hope these situation can slowly change people's mind about idols dating. I hope they continue to be together for a long time. Or rather the companies do. The idol companies go to great length to please them because these obsessive-possessive fans seem to be willing to spend on merchandise much more than a normal fan, and the companies need money to produce more music. SM saw the knets overwhelming support, this will prob push more exo members to come forward publicly. I hope xiumin fucking tells us about his wife and 3 kids. Happy for them but also lowkey bitter for Taeyeon and Baekhyun, if they could've got even half of this support: But also bitter because BaekYeon and KaiStal should have gotten and deserved this treatment too.

I feel like they were robbed? I mean those scandals were so huge and affected them all: People acting like everyone has matured since BaekYeon as if Taeyeon didn't get hate in for supporting Suhos musical, dancing to Horololo and listening to a BTS song They were thrown out, Pentagon fandom was outraged, Cube folded to their outrage. If anything it shows how far off things are from being okay. IDK if we can define "changing the game" as being currently without an agency. As far as we know, nobody is rushing to scoop them up. If anything they give off a very "i'm too cool for you" type of thing, so it's almost like watching two Spartan generals getting together, while we peasants watch.

Dahyun and Jooheon revealed to be dating and in fact Jealousy lyrics referred to Dubu. Yeah but Dahyun's like the grandmaster of finding cameras in secret spots or far away. It's actually scary how good she is lmao so how tf is she gonna get caught. Someone here once said idk if it was a joke that it'd be wise for twice members to take Dahyun along on a date so she could spot the cameras. Well they know each other from the church and they look like if they never knew each other on camera so i wouldn't be surprised lol. Maybe because this wasn't Kai's first "scandal" that kinda helped this couple be easily accepted by the kfans.

I have high hopes for this one. Kai has already had a dating scandal, so the kind of fans to get mad at him for dating either left the fandom or learned to deal with it. On the other hand, if Irene or a Twice member dated it would be a fucking disaster. Damn you nailed it, the difference in fanbases that is. Twice member dating Kai would be a disaster for sure.

She's my biggest crush, but we all know she's unreachable to plebs like us, so I really don't care. I'm happy and jealous lol for Kai, he was always my favorite EXO member. YG not promoting them all that much in variety shows to keep an air of mysteriousness around them helped in some kind of way because it made a "distance" with some fans. It definitely put a limit on how the public and fans perceive them. Another thing is even though RV's fanbase is mainly dominated by the female population, once one of them is exposed to the public through a "dating scandal" especially Irene, I think it will still take a negative hit on her and RV. Jennie's offcam or non-performance personality is pretty "girlfriend material" so I really hope that's the case for her fanboys.

It's weird but Exo-Ls have really matured despite what many people say about them. I was more weary of the korean fandom but they're congratulating them and wishing them happiness. It's honestly so refreshing. I think when the Luhan news came people were the most shocked, they've become more understanding now. Chinese fans are a very different thing. They're mostly solo stans and they love invading their idol's privacy. Chinese Exo-Ls seem to be the only ones having a negative reaction right now. Every so often it resurfaces and it's glorious. That's quite possible yes. I do find it quite interesting that SM confirmed it so quickly while it seems that YG didn't know anything about it.

However YG seems to be in a corner here because they surely have to also confirm it now. No sense in denying it It seems general response is quite good so a harsh response from YG will probably backfire. YG is beside himself.

This is where the fun begins. My guess is that YG wanted to gauge people's reactions before confirming or denying anything. Maybe their PR team assumed that the news wouldn't be well recieved. In light of past events, I think that's the most likely possibility.

Wait, the drivers license ban is ridiculous. It's one thing to be a person so clumsy to not be able to get a driver licence and completely different to not be allowed one. Why would they ban driver license of all things? I wonder how much an YG artist would struggle to live like a normal person if they have ban like these given how much an idol struggle in general anyway.

Edit- to avoid the DUI does make sense but aren't they also kind of taking away the things that a normal person requires to live? Won't it be better to let the be the adults they are and make them understand that they are not supposed to DUI? YG has something strange about dropping out of high school too.

Really sounds like he wants them completely dependent on him and afraid to strike out on their own. It was in a discussion thread here but someone said that they encourage their trainees to drop out during high school most YG trainees end up getting a GED. Daesung from Bigbang crashed into someone and got into a big scandal, which may be why.

But his logic is more likely to be that idols who can drive are idols who are dating because there is no other reason for idols to own cars when they are driven around all the time. I saw an English interview with Bobby that sort of touched on it, because their lives are so restricted as idols in YG that he sometimes dreams of just being a regular person. But on the other hand their individual members are allowed to have personal Instagrams that they seem to control. Well the boy groups at least, sometimes BP's personal instas seem controlled.

It seems pretty silly, considering Black Pink's whole thing is a power fantasy for girls. If anything them having a few dating scandals would only improve the brand. After all the dispatch publication was asked to both agency first. Both these groups have big numbers in terms of fandom and sales. So even if a part of those numbers are from delusional fans who will stomp their feet like lil' brats, it wont affect them that much.

However, SM's response that they are dating means that BlackPink's reputation will go down I'm assuming YG will probably deny or not say anything. He's the center but is very lacking in musical activity besides in his group. Even taeyong alrdy released something here and there. This is very true. Worst case scenario is that Jennie might be kicked out with her scandal.

I'm surprised they were allowed to date tbh as companies are usually strict on dating and they're both from such big groups. I wish them all the best because if history has taught us one thing it's that fans are not usually chill with this sort of thing and there is going to be a LOT of attention on them.

Everyone is bothered about Jennie not thinking about the group interest firts but the other Blackpink members might also be dating lol. It's well known among insiders that the Kpop idol world is like a jungle and everyone dates everyone even if they're super busy. I wouldnt be surprised at all..
