Very happy that finally we have authentic food in a restaurant with a very vibrant atmosphere. Service is very efficient and fast, meals are just amazing almost like home as locals would say. I'd suggest to give a try for local deserts which are very Attended the bar not the restaurant. Food was fresh, tasty, interesting especially, cut frozen fish as well as pricy. The only disadvantage was warming process - all was done in microwave. Great place in the old city of Yakutsk, traditional food, friendly service, a must go place to see the furniture and tast the food, Excellent.

We tried 5 dishes, including stroganina, and I was very happy with the selections made Dinner at Makhtal was my last dinner in yakutsk and has been a very nice experience. Makhtal has a upper level fine dining restaurant and a lower level cafeteria style restaurant. The lower level offers cheap eats fast, whereas the upper level is a real sit down restaurant where food is prepared to order.
This review is only for the upper UHA- fish soup is much worse then another We had a dinner at that place. The food was excellent, so was the service. They serve Yakut dishes as well as 'European' food. Alchohol was overpriced, though. Moreover, they run out of lager and we had to drink some dark beer.
